The Warsaw Metro (Metro Warszawskie in Polish) is Warsaw’s current subway system opened on April 7, 1995.

It currently operates a 23 kilometer long line with 21 stations along the left bank of the Vistula, which connects the southern districts with the northern districts through the city center. It has an average daily passenger movement of 280-500 thousand.
